Boston United have completed the signing of former Peterborough United and Lincoln City winger Ryan Semple.
The 24-year-old has joined the Pilgrims from Blue Square North neighbours Gainsborough Trinity.
Semple completed the paperwork ahead of training on Thursday and is eligible to make his debut against Durham City on Saturday.
After starting his career at Peterborough, Semple enjoyed a extended trial spell at Manchester United, but his dream move to Old Trafford never materialised.
Semple left Peterborough and played for the likes of Lincoln, Chester City, Oxford United and Deeping Rangers, before joining Gainsborough in the summer of 2009.
United joint manager Paul Hurst was delighted to recruit Semple and told bufc.co.uk: “Ryan gives us another attacking option during the closing weeks of the season and it’s great to have him onboard.
“We have real quality to chose from offensively and Ryan will undoubtedly add to that competition for places.”
