Frickley Athletic are hoping to boost their profile with local supporters of the professional game by offering admission of just £1 to holders of season tickets with any professional club for their UniBond Premier Division match on Friday 12th March against neighbours Ossett Town, k.o. 7.45pm.
With only one professional match due to take place on the same evening any supporter who produces their season ticket for any Barclays Premier League or Coca Cola Football League club at the turnstile at the Tech5 Stadium will be entitled to admission to the match for £1.
Frickley secretary Steve Pennock said of the offer, “The board at Frickley realise that for the Club to move forwards we need to entice new faces through the turnstiles at the Tech5 Stadium. Obviously, success on the field helps with this but we are sure that UniBond League football at Frickley Athletic can appeal to fans of professional clubs, we just need to be able to attract them there first and hopefully this offer will help with that so that some of these fans may return when not attending future matches at their own club.”
