More details will be announced in due course.
The current season is Chris Hilton’s eleventh at Frickley in two spells. He originally joined Frickley on his release from Rotherham United in the latter stages of the 1994/95 season and he made 9 appearances that season.
Hilton stayed with the club for the next six seasons, making a further 282 appearances and scoring 3 goals. The last of those 3 goals was perhaps his most important in a Frickley shirt when he netted a dramatic late winner against Barrow at Westfield Lane in the penultimate game of the season; a win which left the Blues needing to win their final game of the season to avoid relegation, which they did 1-0 at Lancaster City.
Hilton left the club to join Stocksbridge Park Steels in the summer of 2001 and went on to have spells at Belper Town and Sheffield FC before returning to Frickley early in the 2006/07 season. Since then he has made a further 132 appearances and scored a further 3 goals bringing his total Frickley Athletic record to 423 appearances and 6 goals.
